Europe is one of the parts of the world that covers part of the continent of Eurasia. Europe covers an area of more than 10.5 million km2 and has a population of about 730 million.
The flag of the European Union is a blue banner with 12 identical yellow stars, which symbolize solidarity and harmony between the people of Europe.
The number 12 means does not depend on the number of countries.
The motto of the European Union translated from Latin sounds like: unity in diversity. The slogan means that Europeans are united in working together for peace and prosperity, and that cultural diversity is respected in this union.
